This is one of the coolest kids toys I have ever seen. I wouldn’t normally say that, after all I am trying to give unbiased reviews on products, not endorsements. But I had a VTech laptop when I was a kid back n the early 90’s, and it was nothing like this.

The Nitro actually looks like a laptop, as in not a big blog of misforme, thick plastic. It is sleek, has a full Qwerty keyboard, and an attached mouth that actually works. It even has a USB connect to allow you to download further games from the VTech Planet website.

In addition to that, it has a game cartridge with extra activities, and 70 full games and learning activities built into the memory. It is easy to use, takes surprisingly little power to operate, and is pretty sturdy for a kids toy. This is probably because it costs a slightly alarming $50 USD for one.

While the price tag is a little high for most parents to pay idly, it is a great gift for the holidays. It has a ton of educational promise, and it will provide hours of entertainment for your kid. The age range is 5 – 8 years.
